2024 Scriptures for core areas of your Life

Heyy you! Thank you for clicking and is it too late to officially welcome you to 2024?

For this first post of the year, I was led by God to sit with Him and receive scriptural anchors and promises as regards major areas of our lives; starting from our intimacy with Jesus to His purpose for our existence, our marriages, family, work, and more.

There are 3 scriptures in each category and they are foundational scriptures that as you meditate on, the Lord will open up to you and reveal to you even more scriptures that will give you His vision and clarity for your life.

By next Wednesday, I would be back with my usual intimate personal story blog via Journey His Heart and Worship Sessions via Ministering to Jesus would resume by mid February.
Note that this is our Features column where your own work can be posted permanently; from storytelling to poetry, articles, songs, whatever divine work Abba has laid in your heart; submit your work for review to connect@hisheartandhome.org.

For now, I pray that God’s Word be a double edge sword in your heart, soul and body, aligning you to His Will, assuring you of His Love and compelling true worship plus obedience to our loving Savior, Christ Jesus.

Without further ado, Let’s Go!

Or else quoted, all scriptures are taken from the New Living Translation Bible.

Your Relationship with Jesus

~ And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. -1 Peter 2:5

~ And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. -John 17:3

Your Heart

~ That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.”

Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. -Joel 2:12-13

~ And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. -Romans 5:5

~ You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. -Ephesians 2:2

Your Joy and Peace

~ You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! -Isaiah 26:3

~ You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!

Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.” -Isaiah 55:12-13

~ “…Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” – Nehemiah 8:10

Your Health

~ The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich and he adds no sorrow with it. -Proverbs 10:22

~ Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering. -3rd John 2 TPT

~ He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. -1 Peter 2:24

Your Fears, Mind and Emotions

~ And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.

Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. -Philippians 4:8-9

~ For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (sound mind). -2 Timothy 1:7

~ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. -1 John 4:4

Your calling and purpose

~ As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.

But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”

But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” -Luke 10:38-42

~ “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” -Jeremiah 1:5

~ Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

Your Creativity, Ministry, Business, Career, etc

~ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. -Genesis 1:1

~ However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.” -Ephesians 4:7-8

Your Marriage

For those in waiting and about to get married.

~ Search the book of the Lord, and see what he will do. Not one of these birds and animals will be missing, and none will lack a mate, for the Lord has promised this. His Spirit will make it all come true. -Isaiah 34:16

If God promises that the birds & animals won’t lack a mate, how much more you? His beloved son/daughter? The Apple of His Eyes? The one He gave up His only Son for. Best believe that He has a really good partner for you.

Meaning; sexual intimacy and the activities that lead to it should be esteemed as holy and reserved for marriage and in marriage alone.

That is the Lord’s blessing for those who fear him. -Psalm128:1-4

~ Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.

How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates. -Psalm127:3-5
